The Russia-Ukraine conflict has upended the markets, but what might that mean for your farm? For markets long term?

Jacqueline Holland, market analyst, Farm Futures, dug into the wide-ranging issues impacting the market from corn and wheat to fertilizer and oilseeds. How will buying change? Will Russia find willing buyers for its grain despite sanctions? She covers it all in the series, which you can connect with in the opening preview Black swan in the Black Sea series.

During her conversation in Around Farm Progress, Holland offers insight into why she took on the challenge of making sense of it all and offers some surprises she found. The series offers an in-depth level of understanding of the impact of the conflict to help farmers make sense of it all.

There was also news this week from USDA’s Farm Service Agency concerning Conservation Reserve Program ground. And the agency has been making good on commitments to help farmers hit by disasters. Jacqui Fatka, policy editor, Farm Progress, talks with FSA Administrator Zach Ducheneaux about the CRP news, and those payments.
