Opening day of the world's largest annual farm equipment show in 2011 will now feature a fundraiser concert featuring CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton.

Shelton will perform on Tuesday, Feb. 8, inside the new Entertainment Pavilion on the show grounds at World Ag Expo. Tickets are $40, $60 and $80 each and will be on sale starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at www.worldagexpo.com.

Shelton received his first Grammy Nomination for "Best Country Collaboration with Vocals" for his single "Hillbilly Bone." This infectious hit has won an award at every major country award show this year, including "Music Video of the Year" from the ACAs and the ACM & CMA Awards for "Vocal Collaboration." Shelton's latest release "LOADED: The Best of Blake Shelton," debuted in the Top 10 on country charts. He has had seven No. 1 hits.

The concert is a fundraiser for several organizations that all include California agriculture as part of their core mission, explained Stacey Beachy, Director of Corporate Partnerships for the International Agri-Center.

"The goal of the event is to further the message of California agriculture and its multi-billion-dollar contribution to the state's economy," said Beachy. "Family owned farms and ranches, across the state, are economic engines for most small to medium sizes communities. By supporting our farmers and ranchers we keep thousands of other support jobs going strong."

Suggestions of how the proceeds from the event will be allocated to promote agriculture awareness will come from a group of agricultural businesses and support industries, from trucking to banking all working with the international Agri-Center, a 501(c)3 organization.

"The International Agri-Center's mission from inception has been to support agriculture through education, by linking buyer and seller, and by sharing important agricultural information," Beachy added. "Now we can support agriculture and agriculture families through great country music!"
