Top 5 ag stories: Court gives farmers chance to control nutrient pollution and a look ahead at 2017

Law and justice concept, legal code and scales
In this week's top five ag stories, we take a look at a court ruling out of the Mississippi River basin states centering around nutrient pollution and U.S. trade.

It's the Friday before Christmas and we are getting ready for the holidays. However, before we log out for the celebrations to begin, Corn+Soybean Digest takes a look at five stories that made the headlines. A court rules that farmers should be given the chance to address nutrient pollution before the federal government steps in. Plus, we get a look at what trade may look like in 2017. In addition, Iowa State University releases their yearly report on issues impacting agriculture including the spread of Palmer amaranth. And let's not forget, farmers often have their own way of saying "Merry Christmas." This year is no different. Prunty Farms and CSD want to wish everyone a "Merry Christmas."
