The Texas Soybean Association will hold its 43rd Annual Business session at the Matagorda County Fair Grounds Multipurpose Building, (4511 FM 2668, Bay City, TX) on Thursday, February 4, 2010 in conjunction with the 2010 Soybean Production Conference sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension. All soybean producers are invited to attend this free event. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the program will start at 9:00 a.m. The program is scheduled to conclude at 1:00 p.m.

Speakers and topics include: James Grichar, Research Scientist, TX AgriLife Research, Beeville, Texas Gulf Coast Soybean Variety & Planting Date Study; M.O. Way, Associate Professor and TX AgriLife Extension Entomologist, Beaumont, Insect Management; Stephen Biles, EA-IPM Texas AgriLife Extension, Pest Status of Thrips on Soybeans; Tom Isakeit, Plant Pathologist, Texas AgriLife Extension, College Station, Soybean Disease Update; and Larry Falconer, Economist, TX AgriLife Extension, Corpus Christi, Soybean Market Update..

The program will offer 3.0 CEUs for private, commercial, and non-commercial applicators (2 CEUs in IPM, 1 CEU in General).

The Texas Soybean Association Annual Business session will occur following the speakers and before lunch. Lunch will be provided by the Texas Soybean Board and our ag business sponsors who will showcase the latest in crop protection, equipment, and seed.
