Bluebonnets have taken advantage of an early spring and ample rainfall in North and Central Texas to offer a profusion of color along Interstate highways and more out-of-the way places. These photos were taken near Ennis, Texas, about 30 miles south of Dallas. The area has well-marked bluebonnet trails.Check with the Ennis visitor's center for information and maps.
