The California Chapter of ASFMRA (American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers) will introduce Advanced Education Seminars for Agricultural Professionals on Jan. 11, 2012 at the Ramada University Hotel in Fresno. The program, designed specifically for farm managers and agricultural consultants in California, was developed to offer a continuing education curriculum to agricultural professionals. The Jan. 11 seminar is the first of several offerings and will include modular presentations on professionalism, project management, effective negotiating, budgeting and financial statements, business writing and business contracts.
Nat DiBuduo, AFM, president & CEO of Allied Grape Growers, has been involved with the development of this program for a number of years. “We have worked hard with the national ASFMRA organization to put together a solid foundation of knowledge for farm managers and agricultural consultants in California that is not available elsewhere. The topics covered will be what we see as the missing link to enhancing both the professionalism and careers of the individuals who take advantage of the program.”
Registration for the Jan. 11 seminar is $199 and includes course materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is requested by Jan. 4. Additional information and registration is available online at www.calasfmra.com or by calling (209) 368-3672. A discounted group rate of $75 per night is available to attendees at the Ramada University Hotel, Fresno.
