Cotton farmers now have more options for controlling insect, nematode and weed pests than ever before. Or so it seems.

Although farmers have more tools, they don’t always get to decide which ones are contained in or placed on their seed.

And some also are finding they don’t always get the amount of product they think they’re paying for.

Roger Leonard, research entomologist with the Macon Ridge Experiment station in Winnsboro, La., talked about those and other issues in this interview following his speech at Cotton Incorporated’s Crop Management Seminar in Memphis, Tenn.
