Weed resistance continues to be a hot topic in Southern cotton. During this year’s Sunbelt Expo, Monsanto representatives announced a new program, Roundup Ready Plus, that will provide growers incentives of up to $20 per acre to apply residual and non-selective herbicides to help them either fight or avoid the development of glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth. They were interviewed during the Sunbelt Expo by Farm Press Senior Editor Forrest Laws.
