If last minute Continuing Education (CE) credits/hours are on your Christmas shopping or New Year’s Resolutions lists, Western Farm Press/Penton Ag is the place to find them.

There are more than 20 continuing courses available for all California and Arizona licensees, including Pest Control Advisers (PCA), Qualified Applicators, Aerial Applicators and California county pesticide permit holders.

They are available at www.pentonag.com. Just go to that website and register or log in if you are already registered.

Many of the courses are also accredited in many other Sun Belt and Pacific Northwest states. Accreditation is identified on each course.

All 20 courses will be available until midnight Dec. 31. A new set of courses will go up around Jan. 1.

You can also access the courses via the Western Farm Press website. However, there has been some confusion about accessibility of courses.

When the Western Farm Press website was redesigned in the fall, a log-in was created for the website. It is on the top of the web page. You cannot access online CEUs from that log-in either to register or to take courses if you are already registered on the Farm Press/Penton CE Portal. We are attempting to modify the Western Farm Press log-in to minimize the confusion.

However, all courses are online accessible from a box on the Western Farm Press website. It is entitled “Continuing Education Courses” It is located on the right rail about halfway down the Western Farm Press website.

Click on any of the four courses listed there or click “View All” and view the full list of courses and log on there as well.

You can also access the courses if you are a Western Farm Press Daily subscriber. Two are listed on the right rail of the daily newsletter. Click on either one to register or log in for that course and that will give you accessibility to all CE courses.

For those who are attempting to gather verification information for license renewal, the less confusing way to do that is to go directly to pentonag.com and log on. Bookmarking that site may make it easier to access courses for 2011 hours, as well.
