A “Last Chance Pesticide Applicator Training” will be offered by Texas AgriLife Extension Service. The event will be held February 26 at the Bailey County Extension office, 118 West Avenue C, Muleshoe, Texas.

The pesticide applicator training will be delivered in 2 hour blocks; pesticide applicators will be able to attend any or all blocks in order to earn continuing education units (CEU) they may need to renew their pesticide applicator license. The Blocks will be arranged as follows:

8:00-10:00am Laws and Regulations (1.5 L&R, .5 general)

10:15-12:15 Integrated Pest Management (2 IPM)

1:00-3:00 Drift Minimization (1.5 drift, .5 general)

3:15-5:15 Pesticide Safety (2 general)

This is truly a last chance option to earn CEUs, the courses will be delivered via video. Participants will need to attend the entire block(s) they need and complete a survey in order to earn their CEUs.

Licensed private applicators are required to recertify every five years by obtaining 15 continuing education credits, including two (2) credits in laws and regulations and two (2) credits in integrated pest management (IPM), prior to expiration of the license.
