It is becoming apparent that low commodity prices have gotten the attention of sellers. Marketing time is over 90 days to sell a farm, and land won't sell unless it's priced at or below appraised value.

Northeast
Knox County: 160 acres sold at private treaty for $665,000, or $4,156 per acre. This property has about 105 acres of cropland and 52 acres of hay ground, with the balance in trees. — Compliments of Stock Realty & Auction Co.

Seward County: 53.34 acres sold at private treaty for $226,695, or $4,250 per acre. This property has 48.5 acres enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program expiring Sept. 30, 2019, with a payment of $4,545 annually. Merrick County: 38.79 acres sold at private treaty for $110,000. This parcel is a laying hay meadow with access from a good gravel road and close to a blacktop highway. — Compliments of Stock Realty & Auction Co.

South
Franklin County: 317.44 acres sold for $507904, or $1,600 per acre. This property is hard-land pasture and offers a windmill, dam and pond for livestock water, located just northwest of Bloomington. — Compliments of Farmers National Co.
