Hurricane Isaac arrived at a critical time for farmers in the Mid-South.

With much better crops than those suffering under prolonged drought in the Midwest, the Mid-South had great hopes for a fine harvest season.

Isaac, it is feared, could dash those hopes as it moves inland.
