The University of Wisconsin-Extension and the Center for Dairy Profitability are inviting producers to learn basic farm financial fundamentals during the Farming Your Finances workshop series. Designed for those interested in learning about and improving their farm financial management skills, the two-day series will be held Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 at the Dunn County Community Services Building. The workshop will feature an interactive and fun approach to learning about the farm business financial management model.

Participants will complete an analysis of these statements and use them to benchmark the financial position and performance of the case farm. Attendees will also have the opportunity to apply the concepts learned to their own agricultural business. Instructors will keep in touch after the workshop, answering participants’ questions as they arise.

Farming Your Finances, a two-day workshop for improving on-farm financial management, is part of the Heart of the Farm series and provides an opportunity for farmers to learn about farm management skills and strategies in a comfortable setting.

The cost to attend the workshop is $35 and includes in-class materials, lunch both days and a copy of Fearless Farm Finances book.
