Think you might want to try cover crops, but you’re unsure of the best way to go about it? Then you may be interested in a workshop that will be held at the Hilton Memphis Hotel and the Memphis, Tenn. Agricenter.

Earlier this fall, Cover Crop Solutions held a “Making Cover Crops Pay” event in Horsham, Pa., that was attended by more than 200 farmers and agribusiness representatives, It will hold a second event at the Memphis Hilton and the Agricenter, Nov. 18-19.

An evening “Meeting of the Minds” will bring together cover crop innovators and experts at the Hilton Hotel, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd., in Memphis, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 18. The session will include a presentation on cover crop trends and a discussion of cover crop production practices by a panel of experts.

The event will continue at 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 19 at the Memphis Agricenter, 7777 Walnut Grove Road, with field tours, presentations on research and demonstration of the latest cover-cropping technology at the Agricenter’s new Cover Crop Solutions Discovery Farm. Field day topics include cover crop types, mixes plus root systems, growth and timing.

Dawn Equipment will also demonstrate a new planter attachment tool for planting crops into standing cover crops.
