Controlling pigweeds: group effort

Glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth is an increasing problem for farmers across the South. In extreme northeast Arkansas, Clay County cotton producers have loosely banded together in a ‘zero tolerance’ group effort to deal with the pigweeds. Their vigilant approach has paid off impressively with noticeably cleaner turnrows, ditches and fields. Read related story here. See related photo gallery here.
