Nina Mia, Inc., a Fullerton, Calif., establishment is recalling approximately 654 pounds of frozen veal ravioli products because they contain an undeclared allergen, soy, which is not declared on the label. Soy is a known allergen.

The products subject to recall include: 6-lb. cases of "PASTA MIA VEAL RAVIOLI GASTRONOMICA."

Each case is labeled "PASTA MIA VEAL RAVIOLI LRG RND GASTRONOMICA" and indicates the manufacturer item number V16LR01. Each case contains 2 individual 3-lb. packages. The individual packages bear the establishment number "20314" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The products were produced from Feb. 11, 2010, to Sept. 24, 2010, and shipped to food service establishments in California.

The problem was discovered by FSIS during a label review at the establishment. FSIS and the company have received no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers.

Consumers and media with questions about the recall should contact the company's Vice President of Operation, Jorgen Hanson at (714) 773-5588, ext. 105.
