California’s premiere annual agribusiness conference will be held April 7 at the Marriott Hotel/Visalia Convention Center in Visalia.

Outlook 2016 is presented by the California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. It will feature a full day of industry speakers under the theme “New Horizons in California Agriculture.” The conference begins with breakfast and registration at 7:15 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m.

Speakers for this year’s program will cover a range of key topics from cattle, water and policy to almonds, walnuts and land values.

Presenters include Duane Lenz, CattleFax; Josh Rolph and Kari Fisher, California Farm Bureau Federation; Richard Pombo, Gavel Resources; Anja Raudabaugh, Western United Dairymen; Jonathan Hoff, Monte Vista Farming Company; Dennis Balint, California Walnut Board; Erik Roget, AgriVest, LLC; and Janie Gatzman, American AgCredit.

The latest issue of the Trends in Agricultural Land & Lease Values publication will be available for purchase in print and electronic format following the conference. The book is highly anticipated each year by the many readers who rely on its content in their day to day business and when working with rural land transactions.

Also included in the Outlook Conference are the presentations to the recipients of the Distinguished California Agriculturalist and Agricultural Stewardship Awards. Both awards were created to honor and recognize individuals or companies who have contributed to California agriculture in a substantial way and have become a historical highlight for the California Chapter, ASFMRA.

The Outlook 2016 Conference takes place on Thursday, April 7^th, with a variety of education classes and other events being held April 4, 5, 6 and 8. Fees to attend the one-day agribusiness conference are $220 for members and $270 for non-members.
