Biochar is centuries old. It’s simply biomass turned into charcoal, but researchers are saying converting biomass in charcoal – and energy – could help address the issue of climate change. Dr. Paul Brown of Iowa State University discussed this in an interview during the BIOeconference held by 12 Midwest states in Ames, Iowa.
