The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture has launched a site with easy-to-find information for Arkansas farmers, ranchers and homeowners coping with drought.

The site can be found at http://arkansasdroughtresourcecenter.wordpress.com/ or the shortlink, http://wp.me/2zudK.

There are pages devoted to Animals/Livestock, Burn bans/Water restrictions, Crops, Economics, Fisheries/aquaculture, Forestry/wildlife, Home/landscape, Legal and Water Management.

There are also pages with drought-related news and events and a page of links to other drought-related resources.

“We wanted to create a single place where our farmers, ranchers and homeowners could easily find the information they need now,” said Deborah Tootle, associate professor-Community and Economic Development for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.

The Cooperative Extension Service is part of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture and offers its programs to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status, and is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
