The 36th Annual California Association of Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA) Conference and Agri-Expo will be held Oct. 17-19 in Anaheim, Calif., at the Disneyland Hotel. This year's theme is "Making Connections." More than 1,000 licensed pest control advisers (PCAs) are expected.

The CAPCA conference features Monday and Tuesday morning general sessions where speakers will discuss a wide array of topics affecting the pest management industry. Key Monday presenters are Robert Atkins, CAC San Diego County and CACASA chair; Bob Leavitt, Invasive Pest Council - CDFA; Jim Wells, president - Environmental Solutions; A.G. Kawamura, secretary - CDFA; Paul Wenger, CFBF president; Dan Vradenberg, president Wilbur-Ellis Agribusiness Division, and luncheon speaker Jerome Goddard, associate professor, Medical/Veterinary Entomology, Mississippi State University.

Tuesday presenters will be Kirk Schmidt, executive director, CCWQP; Robert Dolezal, executive vice president, CANGC; Dave Lawson, Lawson & Associates; Scott Mueller, senior vice president CDMS; and Kassim Al-Khatib, director of University of California state IPM program and Plant Science professor, UC Davis.

CAPCA's annual conference will once again include extensive breakout sessions. These will include production agriculture pest management, turf and ornamental pest management, and municipal and urban pest management breakout sessions.
