The National Conservation Systems Cotton and Rice Conference returned to Baton Rouge, La., in mid-January, bringing with it 116 presentations by university and Extension scientists, crop consultants and producers.

The National Conservation Systems Conference Cotton and Rice Conference, which is paired with the Southern Corn & Soybean Conference and the Southern Precision Ag Conference, annually attracts between 600 and 700 farmers, university researchers and Extension professionals and industry members. The event rotates between a northern and a southern location in the Delta region.

The conferences will be joined by a new entity, the Delta States Irrigation Conference, in 2016. All four are presented by Mid-America Farm Publications. Farm Press Publications, which publishes Delta Farm Press, Southeast Farm Press, Southwest Farm Press and Western Farm Press, is a media co-sponsor.
