New Class V combine

Slated to be ready for the 2005 harvest season, the 2377 Axial-Flow combine will be the new Class V offering from Case IH.

This new model will improve upon the 2366 with upgraded grain tank capacity of 190 bu. and 7,947 sq. in. of cleaning system area.

In addition, the new model will include an AFX rotor as standard equipment. The high-capacity rotor has shown significantly increased throughput capacity, quieter operation and reduced wear on threshing components. Farmers report the greatest performance difference with the rotor during tough harvesting conditions.

The 2377 will have a Case IH 250-hp, 8.3-l (505-cu.-in.), turbocharged, air-to-air aftercooled engine. Contact Case IH, Dept. FIN, 700 State St., Racine, WI 53404, 262/636-6011, visit or, or circle 190.

Heavy-duty shoe frames

Loewen Manufacturing now builds high-wear chaffer and sieve shoe frames for John Deere 9600 series combines. The frames are reinforced to help avoid the problem of cracking or breaking, which could potentially damage the chaffers and sieves on the combine.

Prices for upper and lower frames range from $828 to $910. The company also makes high-wear replacement parts for Case IH, Massey Ferguson, Gleaner, New Holland, White, Claas, Versatile, Deutz, Ford, New Idea, CCIL, Cat Lexion, Belarus and other machines.

Gleaner combine

The new Gleaner R55 combine with a 245-bu.-capacity grain bin is the latest addition to the 5 series rotary combine line. A 230-hp Cummins engine features a turbocharged, after-cooled, inline 6-cyl. design. The four-speed, hydro-traction drive transmission offers three field gears ranging from 0 to 10.48 mph. The fourth road gear reduces transport time with speeds of up to 20 mph.

The Gleaner R55 has 61.2 sq. ft. of windows. A monitor provides visual and audio monitoring of combine operations. The electronic control panel with fuses, service connections and test modules has been moved inside the cab to help protect it from weather and to simplify servicing.
