MACA seeks applications for 2004 scholarships

JUNIOR AND senior college students pursuing a degree and career in agriculture may now apply for the 2004 Mississippi Agricultural Consultants Association Scholarship Award. The association gives this annual award to raise awareness and interest in agricultural study and careers.

This $1,000 cash award will be given to a deserving junior or senior college student currently enrolled in an agricultural area of study at a Mississippi college or university. Students must have at least a 2.5 grade point average to qualify.

Scholarship applications are available at the MACA Web site, www.msagconsultants.com, or by calling Marianna Hayes at 662-834-9938. The application deadline is Jan. 2, 2004.

The award will be presented at the 31st MACA annual meeting at the Bost Extension Center on the Mississippi State University campus on Feb. 3, 2004.
