The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Williamson County will present the Williamson County Beef Cattle Symposium and Industry Trade Show on Sept. 6 in Taylor.

The event will be from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail. Registration will begin at 7 a.m.

The cost is $20 and includes breakfast and lunch. Registration is available online at http://williamson.agrilife.org/program-registration or by calling the AgriLife Extension office at 512-943-3300.

“This year’s program will cover a diverse variety of topics to be presented by AgriLife Extension specialists as well as industry reps and county officials,” said Tyler Coufal, AgriLife Extension agent, Williamson County. “It will also include more than 20 inside and outside trade show booths.”

Coufal said producers who attend will find something useful for their operation.

“We will have educational opportunities for cow-calf producers, stocker operations and forage producers,” Coufal said. “The symposium will get back to what is important – beef.”

One general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education unit will be offered.
