It costs more to produce and feed a bale of hay than most cattlemen realize.

A webinar entitled “What Is the Real Cost of Making and Feeding Hay” will be held at 10 a.m. CST on Wednesday, March 6.

This webinar is an opportunity for cattlemen and forage producers to learn more about the economics of making and feeding hay. This webinar is sponsored by the Forage Focus program of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

Jennifer Johnson, Extension agronomist and Walt Prevatt, Extension economist, will discuss bermudagrass physiology, production and management and waste as well as the economic factors affecting the costs of making and feeding hay.

Questions for the speakers can be submitted during the webinar via e-mail and will be answered during the webinar.
