Andy Snider of Hart, Mich., has been named as the 2019 Master Pork Producer by the Michigan Pork Producers Association. 

During the MPPA Pork Symposium Award Luncheon recently held at the Lansing Center, assistant state veterinarian, non-ruminant programs, James Kober observed the award presentation as MPPA Vice President Pat Albright provided Snider with his award plaque. 

Snider and his family operate Snider Farms in Hart, where they farrow 800 sows, have a turkey-growing operation and produce the crops for feeding the animals.  

Snider is an Oceana County Farm Bureau member and serves on various committees and boards of directors for several agricultural organizations and cooperatives.
