Got a beef herd? Want to hear about the genetic tools leading-edge cattle breeders are already using to stay competitive? Then schedule a July 21 day-trip to Penn State University’s Beef and Sheep Center at University Park, Pa.

Dan Moser, president of the American Angus Association’s Angus Genetics Inc., will be on the speaker’s block talking about the newest genetics for herd improvement. You and all of the purebred and commercial breeders from Pennsylvania and surrounding states are invited to this free Penn State Extension field day.

Moser oversees the organization's genetic research and development efforts. He also furthers the advancement of genomic-enhanced selection tools and the weekly National Cattle Evaluation.

Previously, he coordinated Kansas State University’s purebred beef unit. He also served as breed association liaison for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Carcass Merit Project, working directly with 13 breed organizations.
