YOUTH BENEFIT: Proceeds from the Second Annual Cattlemen’s Gala Celebration and Fundraiser will go toward youth scholarships. The event is Aug. 25.

The second Cattlemen’s Gala Celebration and Fundraiser will be held Aug, 25 at Leeds Farm in Ostrander, Ohio. The Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax deductible charity, and Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) will coordinate the event.

Ohio’s cattlemen are asked to join the celebration Aug. 25 to support the Ohio Cattlemen’s Foundation youth scholarship fund benefiting the next generation of beef industry leaders. The inaugural event raised $27,000 for scholarships, and the 2018 event will build off that success.

Prior to the gala, OCA will hold a brief summer business meeting including a beef industry update. The business meeting is free to attend and open to all OCA members.

Gala attendees will be treated to dinner, drinks and dancing in the barn at Leeds Farm. Back by popular demand, the evening will feature live music from the John D. Hale Band, a nationally known red dirt music group from Missouri. Silent and live auctions will be held during the evening to support youth scholarships. The gala is open to all. Tickets are $100 each, and there is separate pricing for a pair of tickets, students and table reservations.

For more information, registration and sponsorship opportunities, visit ohiocattle.org or call 614-873-6736. The registration deadline is Aug. 13.
