Cattle Trails Cow-Calf Conference, Jan. 14 in Wichita Falls, Texas, offers cattle producers an opportunity to pick up the latest information about key operational management decisions.

Cattle Trails is an annual event and a joint effort between the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, created to help producers drive their operations toward profit.

Marty New, Comanche County, Okla., Extension director and agricultural educator, said profit margins can be tight in the best of times, but years of drought and the effect it’s had the cattle industry have made staying abreast of the latest developments more important than ever for producers.

“Think of the conference as one-stop shopping,” he said. “The most up-to-date information will be presented and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of and interact with some of the region’s premier cattle-management experts, as well as other producers who are in positions similar to them.”

The Jan. 14 conference – which alternates between Oklahoma and Texas each year – will take place from 8 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. at Wichita Falls’ Multi-Purpose Events Center, located at 1000 5^th St.
