Cattle Trails Conference is one-stop shopping for wheat and stocker operators

Cattle trails conference offers "one-stop shopping for stocker, wheat producers.

The annual Cattle Trails Wheat and Stocker conference offers wheat and stocker operators an opportunity for “one-stop shopping,” for the latest information to improve efficiency and profitability, says an Oklahoma State university Extension livestock specialist.

“The most up-to-date information about key subjects will be presented,” says Marty New. “Plus, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of and interact with some of the region’s premier cattle-management experts, as well as other producers who are in positions similar to them.”

The conference, a joint venture of OSU and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, alternates between Oklahoma and Texas locations each year, will be held this year in Lawton, Okla., July 28 from 8 a.m. to a little after 2 p.m. at the Comanche County Fairgrounds’ Great Plains Coliseum, located at 920 SW Sheridan Road in Lawton.
