Farmland prices are higher than a year ago, according to BigIron Realty. Commodity prices continue to be higher, and interest rates remain low. The outlook for farmers is better, making for a great sellers’ market.

The following are several of the most recent sales in Nebraska and Kansas:

Nebraska

East

Hamilton County. A total of 280 acres sold at online auction for $1,750,831.45 in two tracts. These two farms are both pivot-irrigated, selling with pivots on quality ground. Tract 1 consists of 145 acres, and Tract 2 has 135 acres. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Merrick County. A total of 80.98 acres sold for $210,548. This dryland farm consists of 55.18 acres of cropland with the balance in grass. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Central

Howard County. A total of 560 acres sold at online auction for $2,352,000. This productive farm is mostly irrigable with 411.3 acres certified with the Lower Loup Natural Resources District and 27 acres with the Farwell Irrigation District, along with a small tract of dry cropland. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Greeley County. A total of 75.12 acres sold for $262,920. This combination farm is mostly row crops with some prairie hay on the north edge. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

South-central

Reno County. A total of 157 acres sold at online auction for $314,400. This farm has 127.5 acres of cropland and 27 acres in the Conservation Reserve Program. This is prime hunting ground. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Cheyenne County. A total of 711.4 acres sold at online auction for $861,179.30 in three tracts. Tract 1 is mostly cropland, with Tracts 2 and 3 as grass with good fences and some outbuildings. — Compliments of BigIron Realty
