LAND SALES: BigIron Reality, based in Columbus, Neb., says that land sales have been robust, with values steady to higher than a year ago. Curt Arens

Land sales are robust, with prices steady to higher compared to a year ago, according to BigIron Realty. The $4 per bushel market price on corn and $11 per bushel price on soybeans is helping.

The approximate marketing time to sell a farm online is 60 days. BigIron Realty of Columbus, Neb., a licensed real estate broker in eight states, compiles the reports for this column. However, not all sales are handled by BigIron each month. For more information, contact BigIron at 800-887-8625.

The following are several of the most recent sales in Nebraska:

Northeast

Wayne County. A total of 40 acres sold for $288,000. This dryland farm lies between Wayne, Wakefield and Pender. The farm is located a half-mile off Highway 16 on a well-maintained gravel road. This flat-lying property is a highly productive dryland farm. It has several feedlots and grain facilities nearby for sales. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Madison County. A total of 150.98 acres sold at online auction for $1,268,232. This property is located in west-central Madison County, between Newman Grove and Meadow Grove. The farm is on a good gravel road, only a couple of miles off both Highway 45 and the Meadow Grove-ADM blacktop road. This is a flat-to-gently-sloping dryland farm. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Madison County. A total of 80 acres sold for $480,000. This dryland farm is located just north of Humphrey, on the county line between Platte and Madison counties. The property lies mostly flat and has been tiled. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

Boone County. A total of 80 acres sold for $520,000. This productive 80-acre farm is gently rolling dryland crop ground in an area where land is rarely offered for sale. This tract is 100% farmable with 14.73 acres of Conservation Reserve Program land that has just been released for row crop production for the 2021 season. — Compliments of BigIron Realty

East

Polk County. A total of 80 acres sold at online auction for $748,000. This productive pivot-irrigated farm lies flat, and most of the soil is Hastings silt loam. Included in the sale are a seven-tower Zimmatic pivot and a 60-hp electric motor. — Compliments of BigIron Realty
