Here are some recent land sales in northeastern and eastern Nebraska.

Land is still selling hot, and there are plenty of buyers with interest in purchasing farm ground, according to BigIron Realty.

The following are several of the most recent sales in Nebraska, this month all handled by BigIron.

Northeast

Madison County. A total of 152 acres sold at online auction for $1,764,128. This is a highly productive, well-maintained dryland farm. The property lies flat to gently rolling, which is typical of the area, and is located on a blacktop road just off Highway 32. There is a wind energy lease and easement on the property.

Boone County. A total of 651.784 acres sold at online auction for $8,653,377.99 in four tracts. Tract 1 is 160 acres, flat to moderately sloping, and pivot-irrigated. The sale included a nine-tower Zimmatic pivot, John Deere power unit with generator, 100-hp Randolph gearhead with pump and 1,000-gallon fuel barrel.

Tract 2 includes 148.52 acres, with most of it being bottom ground. A new pivot was recently installed. The sale included an eight-tower Zimmatic pivot, Case IH power unit with generator, gearhead with pump and 1,000-gallon fuel barrel.

Tract 3 is 145.53 acres of pivot-irrigated land that lies gently to moderately sloping and is located on Highway 91. The sale included an eight-tower Zimmatic pivot, Case IH power unit with generator, gearhead with pump and 1,000-gallon fuel barrel. The farm sold with a total of 81 irrigated acres, as the tenant owned 40.5 acres of irrigation rights, which were not selling with the tract of property.

Tract 4 is 200 acres that are mostly flat, with a neighbor watering a portion of the property with their pivot, although there was no obligation to continue that arrangement with the sale. This tract also has an eight-tower Zimmatic pivot and 75-hp electric motor with pump.

Boone County. A total of 320 acres sold at online auction for $2,656,000. This pivot-irrigated half-section has rolling hills and a history of application of swine effluent. The property has good gravel road access on the south side and a minimum maintenance road on the east side. The sale included two nine-tower Reinke pivots and a 60-hp electric well with pump. There is another cased well on the property that is not being used.

East

Platte County. A total of 160 acres sold at online auction for $1,980,000. This dryland farm lies flat to gently sloping and is located just north of Lindsay, Neb., with good gravel road access.
