Growsmart by Lindsay Precision VRI with FieldNET provides complete remote pivot irrigation management with VRI control, monitoring and reporting.

With Precision VRI, growers can precisely apply the correct amount of water or chemicals over multiple crops, soil types and terrains, and with integrated with FieldNET remote management, can easily create or edit irrigation plans. Multiple users can be added with controlled access.

“The correct amount of water on every part of the field is essential for maximum yields. When coupled with FieldNET, Precision VRI gives growers the pinpoint accuracy they need along with the efficiencies that result from full remote capabilities,” said Reece Andrews, new technology product manager at Lindsay Corporation. “Configurable inputs allow for real-time system status data feeds, and the cloud-stored backup reduces maintenance and repair system downtime.”

Grower experience shows Growsmart Precision VRI’s ability to irrigate 326 acres and reduce water usage by 884,976 gallons compared to a standard system applying a uniform rate application of .5 inches across the property. The saved water can irrigate an additional 57 acres on the farm.

Adding FieldNET to Precision VRI requires additional hardware that allows growers to customize and remotely manage water applications. It also provides detailed irrigation reports that lead to better decision-making.
