January 2021 Midwest insect and disease recaps

Even the insects in Midwest fields went into lockdown during the growing season of 2020.

Winfield agronomists report a lower insect pressure in fields across the Midwest in 2020. That was the good news. However, agronomists reported plenty of diseases in fields. The most common insect found was the corn rootworm. And South Dakota found it's first reportings of soybean gall midge.
