It takes more than 25 utility vehicles to transfer staff and parts during Husker Harvest Days. And for 2022, Polaris will supply the official off-road vehicles for the event.

“Polaris has been a longtime supporter of Farm Progress events and looks forward to being able to connect with our customers at these events each year,” says Chris Judson, vice president of ORVs at Polaris.

He says the Polaris brand is trusted by farmers, ranchers and homeowners, so “it is a natural fit for us to support Farm Progress events with our vehicles.”

He says the Polaris ORVs are up to the task in pulling off a big event like Husker Harvest Days, with the ability to haul heavy loads and offer comfort to make long workdays feel shorter.

Ranger XP 1000

Polaris is known for its full line of all-terrain and utility vehicles, and visitors will see different models and types of Polaris ORVs on the grounds. But one model that will be prominent is the Ranger XP 1000.

Featuring a 999-cc ProStar engine cranking out 82 hp for class-leading towing, payload and box capacity, the Ranger XP 1000 can handle big chores.

And its cargo box was designed with farmers in mind. “The cargo box lets you haul a class-leading 1,000 pounds and is designed to perfectly fit four 5-gallon buckets across a single row,” Judson says.

Show staff will experience some comfort, too, with its tilt steering wheel, contoured seats and plush seat cushions.

Also, the machine provides 13.5 gallons of built-in storage for essentials and multiple cupholders for all your beverages.

During operation, users can decide just how best to work with the three-position, user-selectable throttle control with Performance, Standard and Work modes, to optimize power for the task at hand.

For show visitors thinking about a new utility vehicle, Judson points out you can upgrade to the Ranger XP 1000 NorthStar Edition with a factory-installed Pro Shield Cab system with heating and air conditioning. That model also features a standard 3,500-pound winch, which comes in handy for a lot of tasks around the farm.

Most of the show site is groomed or concrete, but in the field and over rough terrain, the Ranger XP 1000 shines. It’s designed to fend off rocks, stumps and rough terrain with a rigid one-piece chassis, full-body skid-plate and a massive front bumper. Also, new 27-inch, eight-ply Pro Armor X-Terrain tires provide better puncture resistance and durability.

Make it your own

Accessories can customize the Ranger XP 1000 for specific tasks. Polaris Engineered Accessories are designed for seamless integration to get work done.

A few options Judson suggests include the Polaris Pro HD winch for easy removal of fence posts, tree stumps and more. And you can transport all the tools and materials you need by maximizing storage capabilities with a Rhino-Rack rear cargo bed and roof rack solutions.
