Three Nebraska community colleges exhibit every year at Husker Harvest Days to meet with potential students and their families and highlight their agriculture and business-related programs.

Much of the programming at Husker Harvest Days for the community colleges is hands-on skills, so students get a real taste of the programming and careers related to the college coursework. Here are the colleges that will exhibit their programs:

Central Community College. The college has been participating at HHD since the beginning. Located at Lot 232, CCC will not only promote its precision agriculture program, but also talk about two related programs — its one-year national certification program for a heavy-equipment operator technician and its energy technology program, which teaches students how to design, maintain and repair the instruments used to harness wind and solar power, and battery storage.

Students visiting the college’s booth can learn more about both of these programs and several other programs related to agriculture and agribusiness.

Northeast Community College. The college will be buzzing with activity at its outdoor exhibit at Lot 919. NECC will bring its precision-ag mobile classroom to the show to provide applied technology demonstrations, such as its welding simulator.

The college plans to have sessions throughout the show to give details on its agriculture and applied technology programs. NECC will be featuring displays and interactive exhibits on crop and livestock technology. Students and families can try out new technologies and learn more about NECC agriculture and applied science programs at this exhibit.

Southeast Community College. The college will be offering precision-agriculture exhibits, along with details on the agriculture and precision-ag programs and technologies offered at SCC. Through the college’s precision-agriculture certificate program, students will learn how to best utilize data to make management decisions. SCC will demonstrate some of those capabilities at Husker Harvest Days.
