Tyson Schimmer, president of the Agricultural Institute of Nebraska, recently announced the recipients of the 2019-20 Husker Harvest Days agricultural scholarships.

The winners were chosen from Nebraska high school seniors who will be pursuing advanced degrees in agriculture, agribusiness or other agriculture-related fields from an accredited university, college or technical school in Nebraska.

The students selected have been active in high school activities and extracurricular activities, engaged in their respective communities, and have maintained a high grade-point average.

The Agricultural Institute of Nebraska would like to congratulate the nine winners as they begin their academic journey at their respective colleges.

AIN, a nonprofit subsidiary corporation of the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce, was created to organize and coordinate the annual, three-day Husker Harvest Days show. Husker Harvest Days will be held Sept. 10-12.

Brief biographies of scholarship winners can be found in the accompanying slideshow. Scholarship winner Lance Woitaszewski of Wood River is not pictured.
