The Colorado Department of Agriculture is seeking public input on its statewide hemp management plan, which was released earlier this spring.
The plan will serve as a blueprint for large-scale initiatives to advance and manage the new industry, including promoting research and development in seed genetics and cultivation, developing and advocating increased industrial processing and uses, privatizing laboratory testing, and increasing access to financial and insurance resources, according to the CDA.
The agency is planning two virtual meetings this week to gather input. The first is today, April 28, from 1 to 3 p.m. Mountain time, conducted by the Hemp Advisory Committee. The other is a public stakeholder meeting tomorrow, April 29, from 1 to 4 p.m.
