Kennebec Analytical Services, a Lincoln, Neb.-based company that provides full-service analytical testing and consulting for Midwest hemp and CBD producers, has acquired the assets of Cannabis Testing Laboratories, a wholly owned subsidiary whose parent company was Doane University.

KAS uses cutting-edge extraction methods, analytical instrumentation and techniques to determine the potency of cannabinoids and levels of other chemicals in hemp to provide clients with accurate and reliable test results, compliant with state and federal regulations.

The combined offerings of KAS and CTL expand full-service testing and consultation services in Nebraska fitted to meet each client's business goals, from harvesting to processing, as essential to drive product development and marketing, as well as to meet state and federal regulatory guidelines.

Concetta DiRusso, CEO of KAS, praised CTL as "the first cannabis potency testing lab in Nebraska and the first to achieve prestigious ISO-17025 certification for that service."

CTL provided private testing for more than 50% of Nebraska hemp growers. It also provided educational opportunities to help farmers understand more about this new crop during this first open growing season.

"Drs. Andrea Holmes, CTL founder, and Arin Sutlief, laboratory director, have done an outstanding job for Nebraska hemp farmers," DiRusso adds. "KAS is committed to continuing these valuable relationships and services for the hemp and CBD industries."
