Corn harvest

The crop progress report shows 49% of the corn crop has been harvested. That’s up two percent from the four-year average.

Illinois (82%), Kansas (69%) and Indiana (65%) are leading the pack.

Corn condition

The overall corn condition is rated as being 68% good/excellent condition. It remained the same from last week.

Here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five corn producing states: Iowa (68%), Illinois (80%), Nebraska (80%), Minnesota (76%), Kansas (47%).

Soybeans harvested

The soybean harvest is lagging this year. The crop progress report shows 53% of the crop has been harvested. That’s down from the four-year average of 69%.

The states with the largest amount harvested include: Illinois (74%), Indiana (67%), Minnesota (62%) and Ohio (58%).

Soybean condition

The good news is the soybean crop condition is holding steady at 68%, the same as last week.

This week, here are the good/excellent conditions in the top five soybean producing states: Illinois (81%), Iowa (65%), Minnesota (72%), Nebraska (79%), North Dakota (52%).
