Growers selected for rice program

TWO MID-SOUTH rice growers are among a select group of industry members chosen for the 2002 class of the Rice Leadership Development Program. Among the eight class members selected for the honor are Kyle Baltz of Pocahontas, Ark., and Joe Tupper of Elton, La.

“The investment in leadership development of young men and women is an invaluable contribution to the future of the entire rice industry,” John Denison, Rice Foundation chairman, said in announcing the group at the USA Rice Outlook Conference.

The USA Rice Federation manages the leadership program on behalf of the Rice Foundation. For more information on the program, on to apply for the next leadership class, call 870-673-7541.
