BEYOND, the theme for the WinField US 2016 Answer Tech Summit, held July 13-15 in Dallas, Texas, invites the question: beyond what? Based on general session presentations, break time conversations and discussions with exhibitors (partners with WinField US’s nutrient, crop protection and data management services) the summit  theme goes beyond seed, beyond nutrients, beyond crop protection, beyond current technology and beyond a recent merger that united two strong forces in agricultural products and services.

The 2016 Answer Tech Summit is the first since Land O’Lakes, Inc. (WinField US Parent Company) and United Suppliers, Inc. merged last fall, creating “a single, relevant and competitive system of independent agricultural retailers.”

Summit speakers, including representatives from Microsoft, Verizon, Ace Hardware, Monsanto and Purdue University, focused on how managing data—using information and the ability to collect and process data quickly— now offers  ag retailers, as well as their farmer customers, opportunities to improve yield and efficiency.

A Technology Showcase featured companies that are taking data to the next level. Here are a few images of Showcase exhibitors.
