Dual-timer grain bin probe from BinMaster

BINMASTER LEVEL Controls introduces new dual-timer capacitance probes, Procap I and Procap II, that feature a flexible time delay for covered and uncovered conditions.

Each probe can be set for two alerts, and each alert can be either an immediate alert or one with up to a 30-sec. delay. For example, a probe can be set to alert immediately to a covered state, when the probe is used to shut off a filling process, and at the same time it can be set to alert with a selectable 1- to 30-sec. delay when it detects an uncovered state.

Procap I and Procap II will not interfere with two-way radios or other equipment operating in the radio spectrum because they work at 6 kHz, below the radio frequency level of 9 kHz. The dual-timer capacitance probes offer Quick-Set calibration and are used for high- and low-level detection in bins, silos, tanks, hoppers, chutes and other vessels used for material storage or process manufacturing.

“With instantaneous notification, filling processes can be shut down immediately, avoiding overfilled conditions,” says Todd Peterson, vice president of sales for BinMaster. “Conversely, if empty conditions are of great concern such as with shutting down production, the timing on the probe can be set to alert immediately to an uncovered condition.”
