Lincoln: EPA regulatory approach ‘wrong way’

Following the failure of the Senate to block the EPA’s plans to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln (among those who voted on June 10 to restrict EPA efforts) released the following statement to Delta Farm Press:

“I am disappointed that the bipartisan Resolution of Disapproval did not gain Senate approval. I was proud to cosponsor this resolution because I believe EPA’s regulatory approach is the wrong way to promote renewable and clean energy jobs in Arkansas and across the country. The people of Arkansas and America don’t believe that unelected bureaucrats at the EPA should be making complicated policy decisions about addressing greenhouse gas emissions which could have a significant impact on our economy.”
