Ag committee chairmen take exception to proposed cuts in farm programs

Ag budget cuts seek to save $1billion in 2016 and some $16 billion over a decade

As expected, President Obama’s budget proposal met with immediate criticism and agricultural interests were among the first to weigh in on what they believe is an unfair cut to farm programs, especially insurance premium subsidies.
