THE NEW Double Disc Fertilizer Opener from Yetter works well in both conventional and no-till methods for precise placement of fertilizer. The opener attaches to the faceplate of the planter row unit and is adjustable for both depth and distance from the row. Growers may equip the opener with smooth blades or a combination of notched and smooth blades. The opener blade that is adjacent to the row runs straight and parallel to the row, which reduces soil disruption. The other blade runs at a slight angle, creating the fertilizer trench. The opener features a -in. stainless steel tube to allow for ample fertilizer application rates and to reduce the chance of corrosion.

Price: $295. Contact Yetter Mfg., Dept. FIN, Box 358, Colchester, IL 62326-0358, 800/447-5777, visit or, or circle 192.
