Near Kubota’s new offices in Grapevine, Texas, the company opened a new chapter for its farm equipment business in North America with the launch of the M8 tractor. Built in the Buhler Industries Versatile facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, this new machine is all Kubota — from tires to cab roof.

Farm Progress got a chance to be on hand for the launch, which included unveiling the machine to 80 U.S. and Canadian dealers in a special event. The next day, journalists got a tour of the new headquarters for Kubota, which moved to Texas two years ago after a long history of being located in Torrance, Calif. Then it was off to the field in near-100-degree-F heat to get some seat time and see the new machines in action.

Check out this slideshow to learn more about the tractor, its ride and power.
