With increasing demand from customers to bring quality drainage pipe to the north-central Iowa area, Springfield Plastics Inc. announced it will open a new pipe yard in Humboldt, Iowa, in late fall.
As a long-standing manufacturer of drainage pipe and the only U.S. manufacturer certified to use only 100% virgin resin in all products, Springfield Plastics is committed to providing the farming industry with the best-quality pipe available. Low crop prices and steady input costs are causing farmers to feel the pressure to produce the best crop possible, and quality drainage is the first step.
SPI President Steve Baker says, “The demand for our higher-quality drainage pipe continues to broaden out over the Midwest from its home base in Illinois. We are different than other pipe companies in our focus on agriculture. Agriculture has been our business for nearly 40 years and continues to be our focus.”
Withstands harsh elements
The goal is to provide a quality drainage system for customers. Baker says SPI uses 100% virgin materials and the highest quality standards in the production of its drainage pipe to meet this goal. Springfield Plastics takes its commitment to providing quality drainage products very seriously. Part of this commitment is requiring the use of 100% virgin materials in all of its drainage pipe and fittings. “By requiring this, we provide peace of mind to our customers, as they know they are receiving the highest quality and consistency available in today's drainage market,” he says.
Baker says SPI’s 100% Virgin Resin pipe is built to withstand the harshest elements and last for generations. “With SPI products, there will be no blowouts, no cracks when unrolling, no soft spots, and minimal couplers per roll. SPI pipe demonstrates high flexibility but remains the strongest pipe on the market. Springfield Plastics believes that what’s in your drainage pipe does matter and your success depends on it.”
Springfield Plastics based in Auburn, Ill., creates plastic pipe solutions for people in the agricultural, residential and building, commercial, and highway markets since 1978.
