The North Dakota Aviation Council welcomes SkySkopes as the first unmanned aircraft systems company as a member.
NDAC is a state aviation trade group that until now has been made of up pilots of traditional aircraft, including ag spray planes. SkySkopes is a UAS flight operation company headquartered in Grand Forks, N.D. Its pilots fly unmanned aircraft equipped with sensors and cameras for electric transmission line, oil and gas, and other industries.
“SkySkopes joining the NDAC is another indication of the advancement of the UAS industry, especially in the state of North Dakota. It is a reminder that unmanned aircraft absolutely are aircraft and that drone pilots absolutely are pilots,” says Matt Dunlevy, president and CEO of SkySkopes.
The North Dakota Agricultural Aviation Association was one of the six aviation organizations that founded the North Dakota Aviation Council in 1983.
